Updated:2024-10-28 03:26 Views:75MANILAjilisakto, Philippines — The Philippine Postal Corp. (PhlPost) has resumed the issuance of the postal identification card or postal ID.
The agency started the registration for the postal ID, also called the “postal functional card,” last Oct. 15.
Those interested to get a postal ID should fill out the application form and submit it to the “nearest ID capture station… in almost 260 areas nationwide in designated post offices and select malls,” PhlPost said in a statement.
During the ID capture process, PhlPost personnel will collect photos of the applicant as well as the digital fingerprint and signature.
The postal ID will be delivered to the applicant’s mailing address in 10 to 15 days within Metro Manila, and “approximately four to five weeks in island provinces and barangays.”
To encourage more registrations for postal ID from the public, the PhlPost will launch “mobile enrollment service in barangays, business companies, organizations and events.”
Postmaster General Luis Carlos stressed that PhlPost would not offer postal ID registration online or through social media and warned potential applicants not to fall for “postal ID scams.”jilisakto
