Updated:2024-11-04 04:14 Views:141MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday placed hospitals under “Code White Alert” until Nov. 2 as Filipinos observe All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day or Undas.
According to the DOH in a statement, Code White Alert refers to the readiness of hospitals, particularly, general and orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, internists, operating room nurses, ophthalmologists and otorhinolaryngologists to respond to emergencies at any time.

The DOH then advised the public to plan their visit to cemeteries during less crowded periods, and to always bring water, food, umbrellas, and first aid supplies in doing so.

Article continues after this advertisementOnce in the cemetery, DOH told the public to stay hydrated, avoid intense sunlight, sanitize hands, and be alert for heat stroke symptoms such as dizziness and loss of consciousness.
It also reminded drivers to ensure that their vehicle is in good condition and to make sure that they are not under the influence of alcohol.
